Waxman Brothers stand for a new generation, marked by the mingling of different cultures, introducing a new style: the World Apparel. Waxman Brothers bring together the world of fashion with others creatives expressions such as design and music, with the aim of developing a new urban lifestyle. Established in Paris 2014 and founded by two Italian friends, Waxman Brothers is born under the overlooking gaze of Montmartre in the 18th arrondissement, a bustling multicultural neighbourhood and the heart of the African commercial activity.Inspired by the colours and patterns of the wax fabrics, the traditional African wax printed cotton textiles, Valerio Ruberto and Nicolò Talignani decide to found a brand that would embody Paris’ cultural syncretism. The claim “Légui Légui mon gars!” is a blend of French and Senegalese Wolof. The expression, which can be used on countless occasions and can carry different meanings, could be the English “come on!” or a substitute for the French “allez!”. Each Waxman Brothers product – manufactured with care in Italy with select 100% cotton wax printed fabrics – is embedded in a multicultural soul and identity. Each product tells a story that begins in Africa, passes by France, and reaches out to Italian tailoring savoir-faire. Their tailors pay the utmost attention to every small detail and finishing touches of excellent quality. “Waxman Brothers wants to build a different relationship with its customers, increasing the level consciousness towards what they are buying and the story it comes with. In such a fast-paced society, we still believe that quality truly matters – Valerio and Nicolò said. “This is why we manufacture 100% of our creations in Italy, working only with factories that follow high-quality standards and an ethical code of conduct. Wax fabrics are our symbol and it has also become a mean to talk about the stories, sounds and creative expressions that these colours hold. This is what we call the ‘Wax Connection’, a network of creative minds in various fields (design, music, graphic arts) such as Dj and producers Gilles Peterson, Jovanotti, Lefto, Clap! Clap!, Dj Khalab, Ghali…”. An example is the exclusive capsule collection Akeem of Zamunda, since 2012 the party where you can find people from all over the world, a cultural and visual melting pot where classical Hip Hop and R&B meet the new FUTURE SOUND of electro. Three products that are the perfect combination of the philosophy of Waxman Brothers and the Akeem of Zamunda style.
