A year after its debut at the Milan Design Week 2016, Texturae – the young brand born in Calabria, in the South of Italy, from the entrepreneurial partnership of Daniele Morabito and Dario Pulitanò – presents to the international audience its new and iconic wallpaper collection. International design and Made in Italy merge together creating a unique product, able to propose and invent a new world, without affecting the one in which it was conceived. The collection combines cutting-edge design and craftsmanship, cleverly mixed to create a flexible product with endless inspiration:”Our wallpapers are designed to transform the spaces in dreams“, comment the two young entrepreneurs, who have entrusted to Chiara Andreatti the artistic direction, the selection of designers, national and international, asked to animate the collection. The selection of the ten designers was conceived with the idea of creating an eclectic collection, which could rewrite any space and make room for multifaceted aesthetic interpretations. From the universe of materic powders and crystals evoked by the Canadian Jakub Zak and by the Zanellato-Bortotto duo, to the severity of the graphic elements signed by AH/OK or the Korean Chung Eun-Mo. From the pride of the almost optical brushes by the Palomba Serafini duo to the explosive overlapping fields of color by the Dutch Brit Van Nerven; from the delicate oriental inspiration by Vito Nesta to the surreal photographic inspirations of New York’s Alex Proba. From the marked contrasts of draping by Servomuto reminiscent of distant geographies and times gone by, to the intriguing and metaphysical trompe-l’oeil by Elisa Ossino, endless are the influences that Texturae wallpapers can evoke, as many are the aesthetic routes proposed.
