It’s called Aloof the new collection of mannequins that the leading company Bonaveri will present at Euroshop 2014, the triennial exhibition about retail and visual merchandising, in Dusseldorf on February 16 to 20. This new line, created in collaboration with Emma Davidge, starts from the study of archival collections of the Schlappi series from the sixties, characterized by figures with lengthened fingers and limbs, exaggerated poses and a pronounced inclination of the neck. To these silhouettes Davidge added the sweetness and femininity of the attitude, taking inspiration from the typical aesthetic of the models parading in the studios of the ’50s, and from the work of master photographers such as Cecil Beaton and Richard Avedon. The result is a theatrical figure, full of expression and with the important characteristic of versatility: the height , the fluidity and the timeless elegance make Aloof ideal for haute couture as well as its perfect proportions and fit are suitable for ready a porter. The 8 Aloof figures when alone are characterized by a strong stage presence, but used together are designed to create dialogues between poses, giving the visual and the designer the ability to create every time a new story. The presentation of Dusseldorf , which will take place in the Bonaveri showroom, will be the first stage of the The Journey project, dedicated to bringing Bonaveri creations on display in the fashion capitals throughout 2014.
