The organic volumes and richness of the elegantly stylish details are inspired by the extraordinary qualities of the eponymous plant native to South America, which stimulates the senses on many different levels. The design is structured around the dialogue between botany and ergonomics, interpreted through a bold, enveloping and comfortable design featuring bright, vivid colours drawn from the plant’s own amazing natural palette. Traditional charm comes together using a topical, refined aesthetic language with vintage undertones. Light volumes, precious and significant finishes such as the hand-pleated headboard finish – make this model equally elegant and majestic in the plain-headboard version as well. The graceful bed frame rails are in fluted, lacquered wood and accommodate the soft, padded frame of the bed base. Amante by Cristina Celestino for Pianca Amante by Cristina Celestino for Pianca Cristina Celestino was born in 1980 in Pordenone. In 2005, after completing her course of studies in the Department of Architecture of IUAV University of Venice, she began to work with prestigious design studios, focusing on interior architecture and design. In 2009 she moved to Milan and founded the brand ATTICO DESIGN, to make lamps and furnishings based on painstaking research on materials and forms. In 2012 she was selected to participate in the Salone Satellite, and after this experience, her products have been shown in many international galleries and showrooms. The creations include the Atomizers project, produced by Seletti, now part of the permanent collection of Italian design of the Milan Triennale. In 2016 Cristina is awarded the special jury prize at Salone del Mobile. In the same year, on the occasion of DesignMiami/, Cristina designs “The Happy Room” collection for FENDI.
