As 2025 marks the centenary of the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, MATTER and SHAPE 2025 draws inspiration from this pivotal moment in design history. Held in Paris nearly a century ago, the exposition not only popularized the Art Deco movement but also set the stage for modernist innovation by blending artistic expression with industrial functionality.

For 2025, MATTER and SHAPE renew its partnership with Willo Perron of the LA-based Perron-Roettinger Studio to design the salon space. This year’s concept will celebrate the theme, showcasing Perron’s signature seamless fusion of elegance and functionality, as seen in the previous edition.
