A positive side of design is certainly pursuing sometimes projects dedicated to those who are affected by disability, trying to turn the limit in a creative starting point for innovative ideas. The kitchen, functional enviroment par excellence, is definitely a fertile ground for this kind of experimentation, and it is the space that Rita Scarpinato and Sergio Destro have chosen to adapt to disabilities, designing Mabile: a kitchen designed to carry out independently all activities pertaining to the environment. The movement is inherent in the project, where the different modules reconfiguring the placement of appliances. It also can be closed as a trunk, allowing easy movement inside the house or in the event of a move. Modern and colorful, Mabile can be placed in residential landscape also of who is not disabled, by reviewing its static conception by virtue of a dynamic and fresher one.
