Design Week is just around the corner, and lots of news are to be heard. Domitalia, design company from Friuli, specialized in the production of chairs, tables and furnishing accessories will present in April some new pieces, made under the artistic direction of Andrea Radice and Folco Orlandini, original and innovative, playing with colors, materials and finishes. Traffic is a chair with the interesting feature of dynamism: it is lightweight, easy to produce and overall it can change very quickly. It is in fact a system in which the different available frames can be combined with colored plastic plates or the upholstered and covered in fabric ones. It goes very well with Cross, a line of coffee tables in plastic laminate with metal frame. The peculiarity lies precisely in the frame which, instead of being under the top as usual, emerges to the surface. Urban is a whole family of complements: hanger, bookcases, lamps, tables, chairs and panels that go to outline a domestic environment varied but always smooth thanks to the use of the materials. In fact, they are all within the fil rouge of the concrete base, left “naked” to highlight the nuances, inconsistencies and imperfections that make it unique and special. Another novelty is Opera, a living-room armchair covered in fabric or leather on request. It stands as the meeting point between classic lines and the thicknesses and proportions of modern seating. To complete the domestic landscape there is Report, extending table for living room and kitchen with metal structure and glass top, inspired by the old kitchen tables with storage drawers. In this case the drawer is reduced to the essential of his function and transformed into a small container compartment placed at either ends of the table.
