Opens in Sofia the new showroom Nido, one of the biggest furniture shops of Bulgaria, which has always been official dealer of major brands of Italian design tradition. The space was designed by Mirko Tattarini with Lagos Design Studio, inspired by the recovery of spontaneous architecture forms. It is 500 square meters in which we find the evocation of an archetypal village, with a succession of wooden houses from the typical gabled roof. Designed as a structure in the structure, the houses outline a path seemingly disjointed, but actually full of connections and references that the visitor has to discover, passing from stair to stair and from stage to stage. In this way he can find the informal niches that open within the houses, where the point of views multiply and become more intimate and conversational, for an exploratory retail experience where you never know what to expect. A definetly domestic environment, helped also by the ceiling, dark and dotted with lights, which gives an indoors atmosphere. Pendant lights, plopped up to penetrate into the openings provided on the roofs of the houses, recall mosques and baths, important parts of Bulgaria’s architectural tradition. The project has been developed with a low budget, achieved thanks to the choice of laminated wood, which also contributes to the desired essential aesthetics.
