Cambiami are 100% Made in Italy sunglasses designed by D’Arc to be customized with interchangeable accessories. Thanks to 3D printing it is now possible to compose own glasses by choosing the colour of the frame, the temples and decorations. Not only. It is also possible to choose the shape of the accessories from a series of proposals and personalize them by creating unique versions based on your own creativity. A particular product that can adapt to every person’s daily mood swings. For people who like to play with their own creativity, mood and outfit. Inspired by an embroidery craft or nature, with the great inspiration of ancient Greece, to the dramatic, passionate, baroque forms until rationalism. This is the secret that lies within the forms of D’Arc collections and projects. D’Arc’s main idea is to interact with the future public of the product at the same moment he or she decides to wear it, based on the daily mood outfit, having the possibility to choose different accessories good for the moment. The basic frame is a classical round model that is intentionally ‘neutral’ and yet highly sophisticated. Round lenses have made history in terms of style, just think of Marylyn Monroe, John Lennon and many others. With smoky lens (Carl Zeiss), minimal frame and customizable accessories that can be applied, Cambiami glasses convey the allure of a star and the feeling that the product is unique, ironical and original, designed and produced outside standard lines. Therefore it is not by any chance that the chosen technology is three-dimensional printing at very high-quality levels. Thanks to 3D printing and especially to the SLS, selective laser sintering, D’Arc is able to create real digital sculptures; knowing their physical characteristics, from the material itself used for the printing to arrive to complex geometrical physical forms, but at the same time exalting the lightness of it. D’Arc is a brand and an associate studio of architects founded by Rosa Topputo and Alessio Tommasetti. They worked in USA, Brazil, Europe collaborating with international studios and brands such as Coca-Cola, Marlboro, Toyota. Since the beginning the studio has focused on a number of fields such as architecture, interior design and product design, absorbing from the exterior all the stimuli going from the arts to the sciences, transforming them to what can turn to be an essential part for the project. D’Arc Studio is a factory which is not restricted to one single discipline but opens itself up to the influences of Architecture, Design, Fashion, Graphics, Animation, Video and Comics that strives to incorporate in the process all aspects relating to sustainability. From Rome, the Eternal City, where the research on Aesthetics and Functionality begins, they follow the path of the best Italian design with the curiosity to always have something new. Their workflow is a continuous digital UX, starting from sketches becoming a detailed project that can be checked with rapid prototyping. In particular with 3D printing, as they did with CAMBIAMI eyewear and MYHand, the advanced bionic prosthetic hand.
