Awarded in 2017 with the “Salone del Mobile Award” Painting designed for De Castelli is a big screen that looks like a theatre scenery. Dream-like landscapes on both sides, a night sky full of stars and rolling hills. Different configurations are permitted thanks to three movable shutters. In this way, private areas or internal spaces can be protected by a stunning landscape. The chromatic shades that De Castelli creates thanks to materials’ oxidation are comparable to colours on a painting. After creating for Le Bebè the collections of children bedrooms presented during the last Salone del Mobile fair, Alessandra designed the first mono-brand store in corso Garibaldi 22, Milan – Brera Design District – that, through the materials and shapes, describes the identity of the company and its precious origin. The scene, in fact, is inhabited by the characters and elements that belong to the iconography of the brand: there is a large transparent house as a container for ideas and products, there are colored mirrors shaped like trees, balloon lamps and curious subjects that appear in the view of a cat watching the moon. The project is a white landscape – embellished by shiny details in pink tones of the logo – treated with simple lines that have a pleasant movement, accompanied by rounded containers made in different heights. At the next edition of Salone del Mobile Alessandra Baldereschi signs: – a new carpet for Mogg entitled “Never Said” and an expansion of the Donut collection of stools and chairs – a collection of carpets for Nodus inspired by the Venetian 700 – the outdoor collection Bamboo in new colours and the Blossom rugs for AlotofBrasil
