With the new line of 10×10 brass-moulded interior linings, designed to embellish the walls of hotels and shops, previewed at Operae 2017 Mingardo underscores the relationship between design and architecture that since 1970 has characterized its metal carpentry. From collaborations with Carlo Scarpa to the latest ones, the constant and careful dialogue with great masters and emerging designers has led to enrich and refine the language and techniques employed. With the Architectural Collection, the offering of custom-made products and services to designers is expanded. The lining modules, made entirely by hand, are proposed here with a geometric pattern from simple lines but will follow other versions with other techniques and decorations. On display in Turin also a selection of small precious pieces and furnishing elements made of brass, copper and iron, which draws on the Iconic Handicraft Collection. Each product expresses uniqueness: whether it be a candelabrum or a container cabinet. In every handmade piece craftsman and artist, they gain the same merit and merge their skills into a virtuous product that enhances the tradition of Italian manufacture, always known for its quality of workmanship and the excellence of design. Over the years, the company has reached a high level of professionalism with the creation of ever more exclusive metal products, built and handled entirely by hand by a well-established team of skilled craftsmen. The distinctive features of carpentry are the almost manic attention to finishes and details, and the profound materials know-how. The brand Mingardo was launched in 2013 by Daniele Mingardo to combine his passion for craftsmanship with his love for design: he produces small numbered-edition collections of home furniture and accessories where metals are the main characters, often accompanied by other materials such as wood. The company is composed by Mingardo Collection, exclusive and contemporary objects are crafted with precision and high-quality finishings, and Mingardo Architectural, partnerships with architects to create made-to-measure products. photos © Matteo Imbriani
